Dr. Marc Poujol is a Professor at the University of Rennes in France. He is the Head and Scientific Manager of the GeOHeLiS Analytical Platform, a member of the board of directors of the French Geological Society (SGF), a member of the Editorial Board of the BSGF - Earth Sciences Bulletin (Geochronology) and the treasurer of the Association of Permian and Triassic Geologists. He teaches several courses in Geochemistry, Geochronology, Igneous Petrology and Economic Geology. His research interests are mainly focused on the application of U-Th-Pb geochronology by LA-ICP-MS on different minerals (zircon, monazite, titanite, rutile, allanite, xenotime, baddeleyite, apatite, calcite, garnet, etc.). He is mainly involved in research projects based on the characterization and dating of fluid flows and the consequences on the emplacement of metal deposits. He has extensive experience in using geochemical tools such as ID-TIMS and LA-ICP-MS.
